Hey everyone!
I’m having an issue with promotional pricing in Google Merchant and was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Basically, I have several products with promotional pricing for Black Friday, and in Merchant only the final product price shows up — the “was X now Y” doesn’t appear.
I use the XML Feed integration and have already tried several things to get the promotional price to show up, but nothing worked. Could anyone help me fix this?
Hey @santtiago.llucas, all good?
I recently spoke with VTEX and I think this will be useful for you.
You need to pass the g:sale_price parameter in your XML file.
In the admin panel, in your XML settings, do the following: set g:price to the original SKU price and g:sale_price to the current SKU price.
This way you’ll be able to send the “from/to” price to Google.
Now, if you’re talking about boleto or PIX payments, this needs to be configured first in the product template, passing the payment ID that gives the highest cash discount.
Check out this article on how to set it up:
Configure cash price discount
That way you’ll be able to show Google which value to use as the cash price reference.
Also worth noting that for prices that only change based on the payment method chosen, the best approach might be to send that data via the Google Shopping API.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Estevão.

Good afternoon Lucas, how are you?
I know BF has already passed, but for anyone who sees this ticket in the future: it’s really important that in addition to updating the regular/sale price in the XML, the front-end logic is also updated, using the spot price configuration via the API Set a discount using the Checkout API
I say this because if the regular/sale price is only updated in the XML and Google reads different data on the store, this could get your products mass-disapproved in the feed, as it may think you are “gaming” the system.
Good afternoon. Does Google Merchant work now with Meta Business Manager??? Is there any way²
