Good afternoon everyone!
Does anyone know how to upload products to Google Merchant? I’m trying to do it via Google Sheets but I’m not having any luck. I’ve already integrated Google Shopping with VTEX, but I don’t know how to choose specific products to upload, or even if that’s possible.

Hey @VitorOliveira, you can integrate with Google Merchant automatically using the Google Shopping app. I think that’s probably what you’ve already done.

For a more complete integration, the suggestion is to start with all products first.

Check out this documentation which helps you set up the Google Shopping app.

In the documentation above, the integration with Google Merchant is automatic.

NOTE

The setup below is not automatic with Google Merchant.

There’s also an older documentation you can use (not recommended, as it doesn’t fully integrate), by generating the Google Shopping XML. See here how to do it. In this version you can choose all products or a specific collection as well.

I’m following the documentation but haven’t had any results — how can I upload a product list? Via Google Sheets it doesn’t work, collections don’t work either. How should the XML be structured for the upload? The difficulty is in uploading these items. Would you know the correct format for this XML? How do I configure it with the required products?

Dude, the process of uploading just a few products is pretty straightforward. But I still can’t figure out what your issue is.

Questions:

  1. Are you not generating the XML file?
  2. Were you able to check if the products you linked are showing up in the XML URL? For example, if you generated an XML correctly, you should be able to access a URL like this:

http://www.sualoja.com.br/XMLData/googleshopping.xml
