Store with multiple trading policies

Hi everyone!

We have a question about a specific process that a client wants to follow.
They want to have 52 countries within the ecommerce, meaning 52 trade policies considering there will be different languages, different currencies, etc.
Do you think this is healthy? Talking about the whole context, because:

  • each country will have its own catalog
  • each country will have its own sellers
  • how would GA and GTM work with this?
  • would the site and environment performance be affected?

There are VTEX clients that have multiple stores in a structure like this, but depending on the scale being planned, other approaches can be taken.

If each store truly has completely different configurations and catalogs, it might make more sense to create separate accounts for each region, rather than using a single account with all the trade policies. This is the path that some of VTEX’s global clients already follow.

On the other hand, depending on the level of differentiation between each country, this client might already be served by Global Checkout or with the Cross-border tools available for VTEX stores. In the case of the latter, we also have robot file management tools for cross-border stores:
