Hi, I have noticed thru some QA tests that once order is created, quantity is reserved in stock and only after ERP confirms its shipping (start handling) quantity is removed from reserved & availability. I’m working on the integrations between VTEX and the ERP and I was wondering if this stock control can be changed - in other words, can we have quantity removed from reserved & availability after order is sent to ERP?
You cannot change inventory control.
As @fabio.santos mentioned, you cannot change the internals of how reserved stock works. Our systems automatically perform stock write off whenever the ERP updates the stock quantities, for all orders that have already gone through the Handling shipping status. So if you are sending inventory updates after the order is invoiced, you should be good to go.
