Hey everyone, I’m working on a marketplace project where we’re going to implement a B2B front.
We don’t have any products ourselves — all products come from sellers, and the payment methods on the B2C side have automatic split through PagarMe, which is integrated into the platform.
However, for B2B, we’re going to use payment methods with longer terms — 30/60 days — but the order needs to be sent down to the sellers before that payment is made, since these are deferred boletos. And of course, once payment is received, the split should happen normally.
I already looked into customer credit but couldn’t find any information about split and how that payment actually works — whether it goes through an integrated gateway or is managed by VTEX itself. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on how to architect this?
The alternatives I’ve considered are: using a promissory note to push the order through as approved and release it to the sellers right away, while in parallel, externally managing the transaction (creating with split, checking status, and transfer) through the PagarMe APIs — or alternatively, finding another gateway that already covers these project requirements (deferred boleto and split).
If anyone has any other ideas, please share — I’d really appreciate it.
