In my store, which is a marketplace of the main store, a regular seller and the physical stores are whitelabel sellers. When an order splits, it divides with total priority among the whitelabel sellers, even if the shipping deadline and price increase. How can I prioritize the main store on the site in the case of a split order? (considering that all priority settings for dock, shipping, and time are in favor of the main store, including higher inventory, but even so, when it’s not possible to fulfill the entire order, it splits with other stores. Only if a product has stock exclusively in the main store does it consider that store in the split as well. It could be related to the fact that the main store is the only one that doesn’t have a pickup option?)
Hey @mariana.rosenberger, how are you doing?
Not sure if you caught the message below from @dante.chacon explaining how stock prioritization works:
So considering that VTEX always picks the most advantageous shipping option and the “time spent” for in-store pickup is normally zero, it might be that since the main store’s shipping always has a higher “time spent”, the priority ends up going to in-store pickup after all.
But the only way to know for sure is to run some tests following Dante’s recommendation.
Hi @dante.chacon and @andremiani, thanks for getting back to me.
We’ve already configured the prioritization settings on the dock, cost time, and we even updated the values and lead times in the freight spreadsheets, increasing those numbers for the other sellers to favor the main store. So when the order doesn’t split and everything is available at the main store, it falls to the main store — all good. The issue only happens when not everything is available in a single store and the order needs to be split; in that case, VTEX divides it with any white label seller except the main store. It only splits between a WL seller and the main store if there’s a product that’s exclusively in the main store’s inventory — then it splits together with the main store.
When we run a test on the store, adding to the cart items that are available in all stores and in the main store, the main store is selected (it even has the shortest shipping time, 3 days for example). As soon as you add a product that’s not available at the main store and the order needs to be split, the lead times change to 6 and 8 days for example, instead of pulling part of the order from the main store, which was 3 days. It sends it to any other white label seller. Do you understand the problem? It only fails to prioritize the main store when the order is split — from what I read in the tutorials, this is because when it splits, it selects a white label seller that has the most items, best cost, lead time, priorities, cost time… it only considers the main store if the white label seller doesn’t have the inventory. If it were a matter of price configuration, priority, or table settings, it wouldn’t be sending full orders, without splitting, to the main store. The problem is with orders that are split because the stock isn’t all in one store.
The main store is the only one without pickup, but we ran a test adding pickup to the main store and it still didn’t prioritize it.
It seems very clear to me — do we need to create a white label seller for the main store?
