Good afternoon, everyone!
I have a store on Mercado Libre and I wanted to create multiple listings for the same product (I know I can create listings in the premium and classic categories), but I want to create more than one listing in the same category — for example, I have a product and I’d like to create 3 listings for it in the premium category.
Has anyone tried this scenario?
Hi @BrunoML, how’s it going?
I believe this question might be better suited for the Mercado Livre community. Have you already tried anything?
In theory:
- In VTEX, each SKU generates a single listing on Mercado Livre.
- The official VTEX connector with Mercado Livre does not support multiple automatic listings for the same SKU, only:
- Premium and Classic (one of each type, if configured).
Alternative to test: multiple listings for the same product
To achieve this, you’ll need a replication strategy, because VTEX, by default, doesn’t let you “duplicate” listings for the same SKU. The options would be:
1. Create clone SKUs in VTEX
-
Create mirror SKUs of the same product (same inventory linked via trade policy).
-
Each SKU is sent to Mercado Livre as a separate listing.
-
Example:
-
Inventory can be unified through a trade policy → avoids conflicts.
2. Use multiple categories or kits
NOTES
From experience, I’d suggest being careful about using multiple listings for the same category, especially if they have the same titles, etc. ML may flag them as duplicates.
I think it’s worth reaching out to them for more information.
