Hey everyone! I’m having an issue when exporting all orders. The account has 9 sales policies, and when I export the orders and remove duplicates in the order column, it ends up deleting all orders from 3 of these sales policies, as if they were duplicates of one of the other policies. In the end, I’m left with only 6 of these policies, which makes it really difficult to analyze data from 3 stores in this account, since the numbers don’t match what shows up on the all orders page. Has anyone run into this before and knows how to fix it?
Hi @FelippeDemarchi, welcome to the VTEX Community.
In my opinion, the ideal approach is to always work with VTEX connected to an ERP, so that all desired queries and filters are handled on the ERP side rather than on the VTEX side.
Beyond filtering, another reason not to manage orders directly in VTEX is that as of January of this year, VTEX only retains orders from the last two years on the platform.
In other words, considering at least these factors, it is not advisable to keep these searches and filters directly in VTEX.
Hey @andremiani, thanks so much for the reply! In my case, I just started as an intern at a company and I’ve been put in charge of analyzing this data.
Here they use Protheus as their ERP and VTEX for e-commerce. I’m still trying to figure out how to link the two, because in Protheus I don’t have a filter to separate the brand’s own website sales from marketplace sales.
Maybe building a base in Power BI combining both is the way to go — it’s my first time using both VTEX and Protheus, so I’m pretty lost to be honest.
Would you have any tips or ideas on what would be the most practical approach here? I’ve been studying and doing some research, and I managed to connect the VTEX data to Power BI, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to do the same with Protheus in order to have all the data aligned.
Either way, thanks a lot for your response and the info you shared.
Hi @FelippeDemarchi, good morning.
I’d try reaching out to the Protheus support team to get more information about their VTEX integration module, and I’d also look into some integrators like Jitterbit or LinkToU for this need.
Let’s see if someone with experience in this type of VTEX integration shows up with more recommendations.
But if you want, feel free to DM me and we can hop on a call to chat about the VTEX ecosystem and integrations.
