Coupon-free sale

Hi, I have the following question..

I need to create a free shipping promotion if the customer spends over R$300.00.

However, I’d like to set up this promotion without requiring a coupon — the customer just needs to add over R$300.00 to their cart and they get free shipping.

Is that possible?

Hey @IgorLima, yes it’s possible!
I’ll give you some screenshots below to try to help you out.
You’ll choose a regular promotion as shown below and select the free shipping option. (Before that, fill in the promotion name, dates, and so on properly)

Right below that you choose whether the promotion applies to all your products or only to specific collections, SKUs, etc…

Further down you’ll set the minimum order value to 300.00 as shown in the following screenshot:

Further down you can also specify the type of shipping you want to make free — whether it’s for a specific carrier, the cheapest option, etc.

Lastly, you choose whether this promotion stacks with others or not, how many times it can be used on your site, etc., and then save.

Hope this helped shed some light!
Cheers and happy selling!

Thanks for the quick reply.

So, I set up the promotion exactly like that, but I’m still having issues.

I tried creating a buy and get promotion.
The discount type would be free shipping, I created a collection for all items over R$300.00 and it worked.

However, I have other products at lower prices, for example shirts at R$159.

Even adding two shirts, the promotion doesn’t work — do you think it could be a development issue with the site?

And if I use a coupon code like “frete10”, then the promotion for orders over R$300 with free shipping works.

I think it might just be because it takes a little while to reflect — the VTEX cache can be a real pain sometimes and take hours to kick in. How long ago did you create it?
If you want to share a screenshot of the promo that’s not working, sometimes we can spot something that’s missing that you might have missed.

I had created this promotion a while ago, but it only worked with coupons.

I apologize if the images aren’t displaying properly — I’m new here and not sure how to upload them correctly.

Well, I can’t see any error in your configuration, but there’s one thing to keep in mind. The value of 300.00 is the net value, so if the products have any discounts applied, you need to have at least 300.00 after all discounts have been applied to the order. Are you taking that into account?

You mentioned that you had set up another promotion and created a collection with products above 300.00 for the same purpose. Did you set it to stack the promotions? Because there might be some kind of conflict between both promotions. This issue of promotion competition in VTEX tends to be a bit confusing.

I hadn’t considered that, but that was exactly the problem. XD

Thanks a lot for the help!!

Perfect @IgorLima, I’m glad I was able to help!
Good luck with your sales! :rocket:
